Then I decided to try it anyway, it might work itself out. Well, after it was installed the screen was dark. The last thing was to upgrade the video drivers. I managed it by installing the 10.04 version which I knew was stable for the notebook and then upgrade to 12.04 using the ubuntu system update manager.
